Both the Tube Driver and the TD-X are fantastic pedals. They also have more headroom and less compression. In my opinion the TD-X doesn't quite get the high gain magic of the Tube driver, but I'm being picky to make a comparison. I think the circuit in general was designed with less preamp gain in mind.
